A lot of men make the mistake of under-estimating the sensitivity of women that they lie to women...
Women resent strongly at this; they always question the men, "Why Can't You Tell Me the Truth?"
The illusion women have is, they think they rather know the truth than being cheated...But the reality is, most of the time, the truth is more cruel than the lie !!
And men know too well that women simply go crazy instantly if they learn the truth direct......That's why men keeping lying...
I thought this was a logical explaination about this "men lie to women" thing, until I saw this movie "The Smile of Mona Liza" .
I got the answer why men 'need' to lie....

I haven’t seen this movie, no idea of the outcome. But general speaking, both man and woman don’t like people lie to them, especially the loved one, unless on special occasions, they have to lie to a person for the good sake of the other. If you are talking about love affair between man and woman, lie can only provide a temporary shelter, the truth will expose sooner or later, unless the other party refuse to know the truth. Knowing the truth at the very beginning may cause a minor damage rather than discover the truth until there is no way to retreat.
A movie ladies shouldn't miss, particularly those from girl school.....
A little friendly lie won't hurt. Sometimes it saves life. By the way, is there a lie that will never be disclosed?
